At this moment in history, diversity issues are prominent and pervasive. It is important to re-examine UNO’s General Education U.S. Diversity requirement and ensure that this part of the undergraduate curriculum is aligned with UNO’s mission and goals, and continues to effectively serve our students. Please help the U.S. Diversity subcommittee. which was recently established to accomplish this important goal, by completing a brief survey.

The survey takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete and is confidential. Results will be aggregated, quotations will be sanitized to remove identifying information, and conclusions will be reported widely and used to inform policy. Your input is crucial to help shape the education that UNO provides by informing potential changes to the UNO U.S. Diversity requirement.

Please contact Matt Tracy at mtracy@unomaha.edu if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks in advance for your time, and for your willingness to provide feedback about this important component of UNO’s undergraduate education.

The purpose of UNO’s General Education curriculum is to ensure that each graduate possesses certain academic skills, experiences the breadth of a liberal education, and develops an appreciation for the diversity that exists in the nation and the world. General Education U.S. Diversity requirement is the requirement that directly addresses issues of diversity. A subcommittee has been established to explore this issue and develop findings and recommendations to the UNO General Education Committee for consideration in relation to revising the requirement.
