Hello! You are invited to take part in this research study. The information in this form is meant to help you decide whether or not to take part in this research study.

You are being asked to participate in this research study because you are at least 19 years of age or older and speak fluent English. This research study is specifically designed to examine problem solving in the workplace.

During this research study, you will be asked to read two workplace scenarios and complete several questionnaires in response to the scenarios and about your attitudes and behaviors at work. This survey is expected to take 20 minutes to complete. You will be compensated $4.00 USD if you complete the research study. We cannot compensate you or use your data if your responses to quality control items do not meet minimum criteria indicative of acceptable quality. We cannot compensate or use your data if responses are of poor quality or if we find that your responses indicate you did not pay attention while completing the survey (e.g., incorrect responses to attention check items, nonsensical answers, continuous repetition of the same answers, lines copied and pasted from internet sources, impossibly low survey completion time).

There are no known risks to you from being in this research study. You are not expected to get any benefit from being in this research study. However, you may gain a better understanding of your attitudes and perceptions by participating in this research study. Additionally, your participation in this research study may benefit society by advancing our understanding of problem solving at work. Instead of being in this research study you can choose not to participate.

It is very important that you do not use AI to fill out any of the survey questions. Doing so will harm the quality of the data and prevent scientific discovery.

Thank you for taking the time to participate in this research study! If you have any questions about this study, please feel free to contact the researchers below.
