Digital Learning is offering a 6-week professional development course on AI. This course is available for faculty, staff, and graduate assistants and gives an overview of generative AI; walks faculty and staff through adapting their personal philosophies for the AI world; shares strategies for incorporating AI into courses, learning experiences, and optimization processes; and prepares students to be responsible users of AI.
Course participation and payment is available for the first 120 participants; while the course is eligible for faculty, staff and graduate assistants, payment is only available to faculty and staff at this time. Please note: If you are not one of the first 120 individuals to sign up, you may be placed on a waitlist to take this course at a later date.
NOTE: Payment for completion of this course will be applied against your Authorized Overload, per Exec Memo #19. For Full-Time Faculty, the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) Overload is calculated at 20% of your base pay during the academic year and one third of your base pay during the summer semester. For additional details on your Authorized Overload or the balance of overload authority remaining, please contact your college business manager. For concerns regarding payment status for this course/workshop, please reach out to Myah Lanoux-Nguyen (mlanoux-nguyen@unomaha.edu). Please note any work completed after the 10th of the month will be paid out the following month.
