Sponsored by the Division of Innovative and Learning-Centric Initiatives and ITS, the Outstanding Innovation in Teaching with Technology Award honors faculty who have implemented outstanding innovative teaching approaches shown to increase student learning, engagement and success. Innovative teaching is defined broadly and may include:
Use of new instructional technologies
Use of traditional technologies in creative ways
Adoption of teaching strategies that scale through the use of technology
Adoption of tools or integrations that engage students in the learning process
The award recognizes faculty members who have contributed significant, creative teaching innovations that promote effective and deeper learning.
Nominations are now open. All full-time and part-time UNO faculty teaching in the current academic year are eligible to be nominated. Nominations may be made by a current or former student, faculty member, staff member, or administrator (e.g., chair/director, dean). Individuals can nominate themselves for the award.
